We see the transforming power of Lord Jesus Christ. The beggar was physically crippled and spiritually handicapped. But the miracle transformed the beggar both physically as well as spiritually.
The facts observed:
- Beggar was found outside the church
- Miracle was not taking place inside the church
- The beggar never asked for healing, but there was an expectation
- The beggar never had to believe in Jesus for healing or do anything
- The healing was instant - there was no time to think, debate and argue
- That miracles drew him into the temple

Church’s Social Responsibility: Two Extreme Christians
1. Christians who try to change the legal, political, economic systems to conform to the Biblical standards
2. Christians who isolate themselves from the social issues taking Jesus at His word "My kingdom is not of this world" Let us look at Jesus - Jesus never tried to bring any political or economical changes. At the same time He was not ignoring the social issues.

Dealing with Discouragement
- Discouragement is a loss of hope or confidence.
- It is Satan's strategy to disable and try to take Christians out of God's plan
- We are good at getting discouraged even for simple reason.
- Discouragement can drain us of spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical strength.
