The early church was a growing church.
- The growth of a church can't be just measured by the number of people attending the church.
- The growth of a church can't be measured by the size of the building.
- The growth of a church can't be measured by looking at the balance sheet or the income it is capable of generating.
- The growth of a church can't be measured by knowing how much they spend out for the community development program, it need not be a church to do so.

- In God's work
- In our fall or failures
- In our discouragements
- When we are attacked

Many times non-Christians ask us about how we have one Bible, one God but why are there different churches, ministries and denomination? We need to understand the diversity the Word of God is talking about.
1 Corinthians 12 in a description of the church as the body of Christ:
- Verses 4 to 13: One Body
- Verses 14 to 20: Many Members
- Verse 21: Inter-dependency (we need each other)
- Verses 22-25: Same Honor & Care
- Verse 26: Participating & Sharing

The term Church was first introduced in the Bible by our Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 16:18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
The word 'church' in the New Testament is translated from the Greek word 'ekklesia' which comes from two words 'ek' meaning 'out' and 'kaleo' meaning to 'call.' An ekklesia means "called out".

- Bind hatred and loose love
- Bind discord (disagreement/conflict) and loose harmony
- Bind sin and habits that hold people and loose salvation
- Bind false teaching and loose sound doctrine
- Bind demon of sickness and loose healing
- Bind spirit of poverty and debt and loose scriptural blessings

Remember we are dealing with the power of darkness. Satan and his company. He has power. His power is nothing in front of God. But as a human, he can overpower us if we are not prepared.
Jesus, before His crucifixion realized the importance of laying the foundation for the church. He visualized church among His disciples. He called His disciples and gave them authority.

The ark that was built by Noah, the ark that protected Noah and his family when the whole earth was destroyed very well resembles the church in the New Testament. I strongly believe there is more than enough evidence that the ark of the Old Testament is the church of the New Testament.
- Noah's ark separated the godly from the ungodly, the church is the threshing floor where the wheat is separated form the chaff
