The Bystanders of Acts 2

- People who are confused, fearful, doubtful, mock at other, always wonder are sitting in the outer circle as bystanders.

- But those who are obedient, hunger and thirst for God and want to dwell in unity are found in the inner circle.

- Who wants to be used by God, who wants to fulfill the purpose of God in their lives are found in the inner circle.

- Where are you found?

Not for Blessing, but for Mission

How do we fulfill the mission that God has entrusted us with.

- Church has a responsibility.

- I have a responsibility, you all have a responsibility

- I have a role to play, you all have a role to play

- Each one has something to do, we can't deny, we can't relax, we can't hide without doing what we are called to do.

Reconciliation

This sermon is based on the "Truth & Reconciliation day" observed in Canada on Friday, Sep 30, 2022. God wants us to reconcile not only with Him, but also with the people around us. " The key to reconciliation is your attitude and the key to your attitude is submitting yourself to the sovereign God". We learn this from the life of Joseph as he reconciled with his brothers and father.

Dealing with Doubtful Things (Romans 14)

There are definite things or essential things that Bible instructs or commands us to do or not to do. But there are disputable things or doubtful things or non-essential things the Word of God deals with. While dealing with such things,

1. We exercise the great freedom we have in Christ, but it is not a freedom where love is absent, its not a freedom that gives us right to sin, it is not even a freedom that gives us right to cause someone else to sin.

Responding to Crisis

What must be the response of the church in a crisis such as COVID-19? Concerning a child of God, there are seven different beings involved in or affected by any crisis. Who are they? God, Authorities, Believers, Community, Family, Self and rest of the World. What must be our response to each of them?
1. Response to God - We must humble, pray, seek God and turn away from our wickedness.
2. Response to Authorities - We must obey, support, and reflect what they communicate
