God said in Joel 3:9 (GNT) “Make this announcement among the nations: ‘Prepare for war; call your warriors; gather all your soldiers and march!
Life itself is a battleground.
Old Testament believer Vs New Testament believer
• Journey of God's children from Egypt to Canaan in the OT represents the journey of the NT believers from birth till eternity.
• If that is true, the physical battle children of God fought were the foreshadow of the spiritual battle we are fighting as a NT believer.
• If the mountains, the valleys and the deserts were the battlegrounds of children of Israel, no doubt that today our mind, soul and body are the battlegrounds where we encounter our enemy

Luke 2:10-12 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”
The angel was inviting everyone to come in faith to the Babe of Bethlehem. I want to remind you that what a blessing is to come in faith to the Babe of Bethlehem.

Jesus never bored people in His teaching. He always refer to objects and situations that are so familiar to them those lived in Judea. Some got convinced, some got converted, some angered or annoyed, bot no one was bored or uninterested.
There was a question: Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples do not fast? Jesus responded with three illustration to say that you are trapped in your traditions.

• God wants us to walk by faith, not by sight
• Walking by sight will lead to deception - because our eyes deceive, ears deceive, feelings deceive and our senses are deceptive
• Walking by Faith is walking with no understanding - we don't need to know what tomorrow holds
• Walking by Faith is walking a life of prayer - only prayer reveals God's will and prayer implement God's will
• Walking by Faith is walking by not seeing - Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.
