Isaiah 55 | Seek the Lord

We need to seek Him in a time when He may be found  also when He is found near to us. 

- What is seeking?  According to 2 Chronicles 7:14  seeking is

1. Humbling
2. Praying
3. Turning away from wicked ways

- Why people don't seek God?  They don't find the need of seeking God, Thinking that we know everything, Ignorance of eternity, Pleasures of this world

Isaiah 55 | Redemption & Restoration

In Isaiah 55:12-13 the prophet Isaiah is foreseeing the kind of redemption and restoration God has planned for this earth.

- The restoration of Joy & Peace
- Redemption of the creations
- Restoration of the Creation
- An everlasting sign

Isaiah 55 | My Word

David says, in Psalm 138:2 Oh Lord  You have magnified Your word above all Your name.

Psalm 33:9 For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.

Job 37:6 6 For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth’; Likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength.

Realizing this fact, the centurion said, Lord only say the word, and my servant shall be healed.

Peter looked at Jesus and said, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.  No matter how hard it is, how long it takes, God's Word will not return void, it accomplishes God's desire and the purpose for which it was sent.

Isaiah 55 | Higher than Ours

When we have such a high calling in our lives, God wants us to live as children of hope.
- Our petty issues are immaterial in the grand scheme of God
- Our light affliction we have in our body has no impact on the eternal scheme of God
- Our struggle over the finances and relationships can no way pull you back from God

Because God says, “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts."

- Thoughts of peace
- Thoughts to give you a future
- Thoughts to give you a hope

Isaiah 55 | God's Invitation

- God is calling us to something which is very important.  God needs our full attention
- This invitation is for everyone who thirsts
- It is an open, but exclusive invitation for those who thirst
- It is not a natural invitation, it is a supernatural invitation as the one who is calling is God Almighty

Faith Hall of Fame | Conclusion

We learned quite a lot about faith, I want to ask you today, what is that God is asking you to do today?

- Is He asking you to take step of faith to live for Him?
- Is He asking you to let go few things for the sake of God, the gospel
- Is He asking you to take certain risks in His kingdom?
- Is He asking you to give up something in you life?
- Is He asking you to lay aside the weight that you are carrying today?
- Is He asking you to leave the sin that you are entangled with today?

I want you to respond to the voice of God.

Faith Hall of Fame | Gideon

The writer of Hebrews says, Through faith Gideon subdued kingdom, became valiant in battle and turned to flight the armies of aliens.  There is a challenge in front of us that we need to battle through.  We need faith.

- It may be a battle of establishing our future.
- Battle of bringing up our children
- Battle of fighting against the disease and sickness
- Battle of overcoming the financial struggle
- Battle of establishing the ministry
- Battle of conquering the city for God
- Battle of delivering people from the bondage

Faith Hall of Fame | Rahab

Rehab's faith resulted in a total transformation in her life. 

A new God - As a result of her faith, this Canaanite woman  entered into the Jewish faith.  It is similar to her future great granddaughter-in-law, Ruth the Moabitess would say to Naomi: "thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God" (Ruth 1:16). A new God and a new revelation.

A new husband - A woman with no husband married to a man named Salmon, Matthew 1:5-6. 

A new generation - She had been a heathen, a non-believer, but found favor with God because of her faith, which was shown by her works. Rahab's faith resulted in blessing for the world.  She became one of the ancestors of our Lord Jesus Christ.

 

Faith Hall of Fame | Walls of Jericho

Hebrews 11:30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days.

God wants you to pull these walls down by faith today. 

- Wall No1: Walls of Jericho built within us - This wall is built by us, not seen by others
- Wall no 2: Walls of Jericho built around us - This wall is built by us, but seen by others
- Wall no 3: Walls of Jericho built by others

God wants us to take a step of faith to make a shout of praise so that these walls will fall trembling down. 

If we do that, God wants to build walls around us.  At times God build walls around us to get something done in our lives.
